Bio Suisse attaches great importance to transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain to ensure that organic products meet the high standards.
Residues
Bio Suisse endeavours to ensure residues in organic products are kept to a minimum. Organic product producers and processors do their best to avoid residues. However, in a non-organic environment, it is impossible to avoid all residues. It is therefore not possible to implement a zero-tolerance policy.
Genetically modified organisms (GMO)
Bio Suisse is of the opinion that organic farming and agriculture with genetically modified organisms have incompatible goals. Organic farming preserves and improves the health of soils, plants, animals and humans. It is based on living, ecological systems and is constantly evolving towards sustainability and is practiced in a preventive and responsible manner in order to preserve the health and well-being of present and future generations.
