Check if your customer in Switzerland has already been licensed as a Bio Suisse importer.
If you do not have an importer ready, you can use the database for importers and licensed products to help you.
Approval list
The certification application for an operation outside Switzerland is usually carried out by a licensed Bio Suisse importer in Switzerland. This is the ideal basis for enabling the imported product to be marketed within Switzerland under the Bud label.
Use the Bio Suisse approval list to check whether your product has been approved for marketing within Switzerland under the Bud label and whether it is subject to any import restrictions.
All operations along the supply chain outside Switzerland must be in possession of a valid Bio Suisse certification. This certification must be obtained prior to export (cf. information note on export to Switzerland for operations outside Switzerland).
Products that have been certified in accordance with Bio Suisse Standards for export to Switzerland must be marked with the “Bio Suisse Organic” designation or logo on containers, delivery notes and invoices.
All products certified as in conversion according to the Bio Suisse Standards must be clearly labelled as “in-conversion products”.

The import must be recorded and submitted to Bio Suisse within six weeks from delivery of the batch in Switzerland. This must be done via the Bio Suisse Supply Chain Monitor (SCM) electronic supply chain system.
To be able to do this, the exporter and importer must request access to the SCM prior to carrying out the import.
The SCM maps the financial flow of goods. The exporter (= the final financial owner of the goods outside Switzerland) records the transaction in the SCM and forwards it for validation to the importer (= the first financial owner of the goods within Switzerland).
